- Operations Management: Functions as an eCommerce storefront focused on selling branded merchandise. Operations include product listing, inventory tracking, order processing, shipping configuration, and discount or promotion management.
- Relationship Management: Supports customer engagement through account creation, email subscriptions, contact forms, and order tracking. It may also integrate customer reviews and social media links to build brand loyalty.
- Business Data Management: Manages structured data such as product catalogs, SKUs, pricing, inventory levels, customer profiles, and transaction records. Shopify ensures secure handling of orders and customer data.
- Admin Panel: Shopify’s admin dashboard allows administrators to manage products, track orders, configure payments and shipping, view analytics, and handle customer data without requiring deep technical expertise.
- Modular Architecture: The platform is modular, supporting apps and plugins for marketing, analytics, inventory, and customer engagement. Additional features can be added via Shopify apps without major redevelopment.
